A pan shop owner came under the scanner of Indore Police for selling banned
e-cigarettes in the Vijay Nagar area. E-cigarettes and e-hookah, nearly costing Rs. 5.5 lakhs,
were seized by the Police.
Vijay Nagar police raided the pan shop following a tip-off. The seized e-cigarettes were sold
for Rs.2500-3500 each.
Notably, the government imposed a complete ban on selling, manufacturing, and storage of
e-cigarettes back in September 2019 under the guise of preventing potential health risks to
Indian youth.
